Godwin Harrison

Godwin Harrison was born in the southern part of Nigeria. Due to his keen interest in storytelling, at the age of 19, he moved to the Eastern part of Nigeria and worked as a Screenwriter for some Top tier Nollywood filmmakers.

At the age of 23, he wrote, produced, and directed his first documentary “Pained” a story that centers on the discrimination HIV-positive people faces In the Nigerian health sector and the film garnered him lots of National recognition.

At the age of 26, he produced, directed, and wrote his first short film “BROKEN RAINBOW” a story that centers on the plight of the LGBTQIA+ community in Nigeria; the film won several awards both home and abroad.

Godwin has since then written, produced, and directed films and documentaries for production houses and NGO(s).

To him, films go beyond entertainment. Film is the new avenue for advocacy thus the birth of his media house, “HUG MEDIA CONCEPT”, a film house dedicated to telling stories of the underrepresented groups and individuals in the African society.

Happy ending happens to be his feature-length directorial debut.
